Duncan Ferguson came off the bench to fire the Toffees to a 3-2 win at Norwich to continue their fine start to the 2004/05 season.
Kevin Kilbane fired Everton in front after being set up by Tim Cahill and Marcus Bent slotted a second after being released by Thomas Gravesen.
Norwich levelled when Leon McKenzie beat keeper Nigel Martyn and then Damien Francis scored from close range.
But Steve Watson crossed for Ferguson to score with a trademark header.
