March 31 marks the 20th anniversary of Carlos Gurpegui’s first-team debut. With 15 seasons, 393 games and 22 goals to his name as a Lion, Carlos Gurpegui can rightfully take his place among Athletic Club’s greatest legends. The Navarre native made his debut in the 2001/02 season at the then El Madrigal stadium against Villarreal CF.
