Makoto Hasebe’s comeback not enough for Frankfurt against Urawa

Coach Oliver Glasner was missing seven players called up to play at the World Cup, presenting young players a chance to prove themselves. After two quick goals from Urawa’s Kasper Junker, Anas Alaoui equalised for Frankfurt after the break. Alexander Scholz and Yusuke Matsuo then put the home team 4-1 up before Eintracht’s 18-year-old striker Ignacio Ferri Julia scored an eye-catching header to make it 4-2 just before the end of a game which saw former Urawa player Makoto Hasebe make his return from injury for Frankfurt.
