On 15 June 2024, the football world was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of a much-loved former striker, Kevin Campbell, at the age of 54.
Not just a true Goodison Park hero and huge fans’ favourite, Kevin was Everton’s first black captain and also an incredible person, as anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him would know. He was also hugely popular at his other clubs: Arsenal, Leyton Orient, Nottingham Forest, Trabzonspor, West Bromwich Albion and Cardiff City – and is still sorely missed by everyone who knew him.
