On Saturday evening, the German record champions beat reigning cup winners VfB 2-1 (1-0), celebrating their eleventh triumph in this competition. Harry Kane put FC Bayern ahead in the 18th minute, and Luis Díaz scored the final goal to make it 2:0 in the closing stages. Jamie Leweling scored in the last action of the game to reduce the deficit, but in the end it was FCB who celebrated.
