During the National Football Weekend, we have one goal in mind: to show why the amateur football in The Netherlands is so special and valuable. That’s why we’re launching our short film “Amateurs” — a tribute to the place where it all begins.
In the film, we take you on a journey through the wonderful world of amateur football — the place where everyone starts. The clubhouse is where it all comes together: a place where everyone is equal and the beating heart of the club.
You will spot several Dutch internationals and football legends making an appearance. After all, also their football journey began at their local amateur club.
The film marks the kickoff of the National Football Weekend, taking place from June 6 to 9. This year, the unifying power of football takes center stage — because no other sport brings so many different people together like football does.
