Everton’s unbeaten start to the season came to an abrupt end at Villa Park as the host struck three times in the second half to take the points. The Blues had been hit by injuries to Jordan PIckford, Richarlison and Seamus Coleman, to add to Dominic Calvert-Lewin, so there were Premier League debuts for Salomon Rondon and Asmir Begovic, but they could not prevent defeat.
