In Africa as in France: we’re all vibing with the rythm of “le Classique”

Didier Drogba, George Weah, Abédi Pelé, Jay-Jay Okocha, Mamadou Niang… So many African legends have shaped the history of the rivalry between Olympique de Marseille and Paris Saint-Germain.
With more than 200 players from sub-Saharan Africa in its leagues today, the Ligue de Football Professionnel is pleased to celebrate once again its close ties with the continent on 17 April alongside the match between PSG and OM (32nd round of Ligue 1 Uber Eats).

The LFP is once again partnering with Analog Sport, which works to foster education and integration through sports photography, by initiating a project for Ivorian youth. In total, more than 50 youngsters from orphanages in Bingerville and La Maison du Potier (Yopougon) were introduced to the project’s artistic methods of several days of training. The result is a fresco by the artist Albéric Kouassi in Yopougon, thanks to the Hope Denguélé association, featuring Ivorian success in the past and current league players.

On 17 April, we will all be ready for the excitement of “ Le Classique”.
